Toxicology/ pharmacology experts review, analyze and assess case materials for litigation matters that involve environmental and occupational exposures, alcohol and drugs of abuse, recreational drugs, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, etc. They formulate general and specific causation opinions based upon facts.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in basic life sciences or toxicology with broad training and some expertise in immunotoxicology
- Postdoctoral training and research in toxicology and pharmacology
- Training and experience in mechanistic-oriented animal research
- 15+ years working on toxicology-related research: immunotoxicology background helpful
- Currently part of an active toxicology and/or pharmacology research or training program
- Evidence of competitive and renewable funding for running a research laboratory
- Currently associate or full professor in graduate or professional program
- 10+ years of teaching undergraduate, graduate and/or professional students
- Chaired and served on Ph.D. dissertation committees
- Senior authored peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals
- Invited talks at international meetings, national meetings and seminars
- Served on governmental advisory or regulatory agency committees, boards, panels or study sections
- Elected officer in local, regional, national and/or international organizations
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a comprehensive team
- Demonstrated outstanding technical, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in an aggressive, competitive and serious environment
