Tractor Trailer Mechanic Job at Schnucks
The B-Class mechanic performs General Fleet Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including but not limited to the list below. They must be self motivated, able to work on their own and interact and communicate professionally with other mechanics, drivers as well as transportation management.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Minor problem diagnosis.
All Phases of trailer repair.
All minor adjustments, (belts, clutch, brakes, etc.).
Air conditioning repairs.
Major and minor parts changing.
Suspension and wheel end maintenance.
Welding and cutting operations.
With proper training, all phases of vehicle and component lubrication.
All C-class work.
With Proper training, preventive maintenance of tractor, trailer and refrigeration equipment.
With proper training, all phases of tire and wheel maintenance.
Pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
General housekeeping.
Cleaning of tractor and trailer parts and components.
Surface repairs and minor parts changing incl. batteries, mirrors, lights, etc.
