Flagger Job Description

We are looking for motivated, reliable, and hard-working team players.

Requirements to Apply

· Valid Driver's License
· Reliable, exclusive use personal vehicle
· Certified to work in the United States
· Phone with current data plan and voicemail setup

Required Attributes

· Punctuality
- Typical shifts begin between 6 and 8am and go until our client is finished for the day

· Team player
- Moving with a purpose and working well as a team is imperative

· Physically capable
- We set our own work zones
- Standing for long periods of time in all types of Oregon weather
- Lifting up to 40 lbs

Hours

· Jobs are dispatched every afternoon for the following day
· You provide us with your availability 48 hours in advance
· Shift lengths depend on our contractors’ needs

This job is considered part time on-call because you may or may not make yourself available or be assigned a job every day. Therefore, we do not guarantee specific numbers of hours, but we are busy and the more you excel at the job, work well with others and are available the more hours you can get. Seniority and proximity do play factors in how we dispatch jobs.

Required Equipment to Begin

· Flagger Certification Card (D&H certifies its new hires in-house)
· Retroreflective Stop/Slow Paddle (18” in OR, 24” in WA)
· ANSI Class III Retroreflective Vest
· Hard Hat (White, Orange, or Yellow ONLY)
· Over the ankle work boots of a solid material
· Navigation Tools (e.g. Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps)

We sell vests, hard hats and Stop/Slow paddles at cost and on gradual payments.
You are welcome to source this equipment elsewhere if it meets industry requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

· $20.50/hour
· Up to $30/hour for premium shifts
· Health insurance after 90 continuous days

We do conduct background checks and are a drug free company
