Trailer Technician Job at Kentucky Trailer
Duties range from minor trailer repairs to complete rebuild/refurbishment, and electrical systems. The associate will also be required to keep his or her work areas and equipment in compliance with all safety regulations. This trailer technician position will work out of our Kentucky Trailer Servicing center at 3400 Robards Court, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.
- Be responsible for an area of the shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so.
- Be on the job as scheduled for start, stop, and break times.
- Conduct oneself according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined; mechanic experience preferred.
- Welding: Ability to MIG, steel and aluminum weld
- Use of hand and power tools as it relates to required tasks
- Basic Math & Measurement aptitude. Ability to read a tape measure
- Problem-solving skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs continuously
- Able to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activity
- Able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, climb, twist, and/or crawl
- Able to work in areas regularly exposed to high noise level, vibration, dust, and fumes
- Read, write, speak, listen, and understand work instructions
- PPE: Steel-toes and safety glasses required at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
