Salary Range - $116,000 to $124,000

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manage training department projects such as accreditation team visits, plant evaluation training review and outage in-processing. Plan, coordinate and manage activities associated with the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of Exelon Nuclear training programs including the coordination of accreditation activities and the systematic approach to train (SAT) application.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manages In-Processing for the training department. (20%)
  • Leads and manages preparation and implementation of accreditation team visits (ATV) for the stations (20%)
  • Leads and manages preparation and implementation of training programs for plant evaluations. (20%)
  • Manages training department projects; for example, facility upgrades. Maintain the detailed scope, quality, performance, schedule and budget of assigned project(s) in accordance with the Exelon Management Model procedures and standard practices. (20%)
  • Develops and maintains the budget and business plan initiatives to ensure that training facilities, equipment, materials, records and personnel qualifications support training program goals. (10%)
  • Participates in NRC, INPO, and management audits/assessments. (5%)
  • Evaluates the need for outside services, coordinates the drafting of bid specifications, evaluates proposals, recommends qualified vendors; and manages the purchased programs and services (5%)


JOB SCOPE

  • Manage training department projects.
  • Direct control over associated program budgets and assets as determined by the Training Director.
  • Provides leadership for program initiatives.
  • Leads/represents/participates in special teams, initiatives, meetings, and seminars, both internally and with external organizations as necessary.
  • Participates in department business planning activities.
  • Interfaces with external organizations and the industry.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA in a technical discipline or combination of education/training
  • 3+ years of professional management experience in the implementation of training program systems
  • Experience on INPO Accreditation or Evaluation teams, benchmarking and peer assessment teams
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of professional management experience in the implementation of accredited training program systems
  • Substantial experience in leading teams from multiple organizations in accomplishing diverse tasks and assignments
  • 2 years of instructional experience
