Training Support Analyst Job at WSSC Water
The Training Analyst partners with teams in developing employees and improving organizational performance. This role supports implementing, tracking, and managing training-related programs and initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Assists with new employee orientation sessions and conducts training for assigned department(s)
- Assists in designing, developing and delivering training classes, including with oversight from the Division Manager
Helps facilitate various meetings, classes, workshops, etc.
Prepares, tracks, and/or manages standard and ad hoc reports such as detailed statistical analyses, graphs, charts, dashboards, surveys and other monitoring systems used to measure training ROI and feedback
Manages/maintains the learning management systems (LMS) for assigned department(s)
Conducts training related research
May utilize the LMS to develop reports to track status of certifications, licenses, and required curriculums
Administers surveys, analyzes results, makes recommendations and assists with learning and development needs assessments and improvement initiatives of assigned department(s)
Maintains and updates relevant materials such as training/development outlines, session guides, manuals, presentations, templates, policies, procedures, processes, etc., and other related work products of assigned department(s)
Provides budget monitoring, analyses, and reports to Division Manager
Manages the training drive, division’s intranet page and other shared sites/pages
May evaluate for compliance with policy/process requirements and processes tuition assistance requests; maintains tracking system for budget expenditures
Uses available state of the art technology to maintain all development team documents, instructional aids, and materials
Maintains resources, inclusive of learning aids, books, handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
Maintains an up-to-date listing of the portfolio of development solutions to ensure the appropriate applications are deployed, including, but not limited to classroom, e-learning, and guided learning
Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, workshops, and events that includes space setup & cleanup, ensuring proper and working equipment, accurate and sufficient amount of appropriate materials, registration, travel related needs, etc.
Performs all tasks and job functions in compliance with regulatory requirements
Other Functions
- Coordinates activities and addresses issues related to IT, procurement, space needs, materials needed, etc.
- Assists with monitoring contract expirations, processing purchase orders, invoices, etc.; liaises with Procurement, IT and other related offices/depts.
Performs administrative duties such as typing, filing, scanning, photocopying, classroom/calendar scheduling, ordering supplies/equipment/food and beverages, etc.
Provides relevant development reports to managers as required
Guides employees to developmental options as recommended by the learning and development team
Performs other related duties as required

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ year experience supporting training and/or other related operations including experience as support or entry-level trainer within a learning, training & development or organizational development team
OR
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience supporting training and/or other related operations including experience as support or entry-level trainer within a learning, training & development or organizational development team
