JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL-TIME

The Travel and Coding Coordinator serves as the point of contact for all university related travel. The primary responsibility of this position is to process all employee travel advances and reimbursements through Chrome River ensuring compliance with university and federal IRS rules, policies and procedures. The position also reviews all requisitions and invoices processed through the Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments to ensure proper coding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process all university employee travel and expense reimbursements through Chrome River.
  • Chrome River super user and training coordinator.
  • Process all university employee cash advance requests.
  • Review all invoices for proper coding and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Review all requisitions for proper coding and procedures.
  • Reconcile monthly vehicle rental statements and process invoices.
  • Reconcile monthly JP Morgan statement and process invoices.
  • Serve as university liaison with approved travel agencies.
  • Review and reconcile monthly rental vehicle statements and process invoices for payment.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Two to four years of related experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point is preferred.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and judgments on administrative and procedural issues.
  • Ability to analyze facts to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information.
  • Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policy and its’ procedures.
