Overview:

Position Summary


We are seeking a qualified Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury Department. In this position you will support all aspects of the department by performing both surety and cash management processing duties.


Responsibilities

Surety
  • Assist in obtaining new letters of credit, bonds and other forms of surety and maintaining files for all such instruments issued on behalf of MDC and/or its subsidiaries and on behalf of third parties.
  • Interact with banks and insurance providers on issuing new surety instruments and associated billing requests.
  • Maintain monthly report updates.
  • Assist in maintaining the AMC files for the various forms of surety.
  • As requested or required, obtain information from divisions to provide proof of payment and/or completion of work to aid in releasing and/or reducing bonds and letters of credit.
  • Regularly follow-up with division personnel to assure timely reductions and releases for surety instruments.
Cash Management
  • Assist with the daily cash management process.
  • Assist in preparation, initiation, releasing and monitoring of various payment types including wire transfers, ACH and book transfers including obtaining the appropriate approvals.
  • Monitor bank account balances, investment reconciliations and post monthly bank account statements.
  • Assist with bank account and credit card administration including additions / deletions to all bank accounts signatories and cash management services.
  • Handle banking inquiries from Divisions and Accounting.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Other

  • Perform such other duties as directed from time to time by supervisor(s).

Requirements


Education: BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent experience.


Experience: This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of cash management, banking and/or insurance knowledge, as well as proficient knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office. Real estate knowledge is helpful but not required. Must also have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Applicant should be dependable and detail oriented.

  • Subject to applicable laws, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by start date under M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. vaccination mandate for all employees who will be working in the Corporate/Home Office at 4350 S. Monaco St. effective Nov. 1st, 2021.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
