Truck Driver
Synergetic is currently accepting resumes for a part-time Class A and B driver. We are a Philadelphia based audio/visual company that specializes in live events. This individual will be driving 16-foot trucks, as well as 26-foot trucks throughout the Delaware Valley.
Expectations:
- Schedules are created 1 week in advance. You can choose which routes you want to accept.
- Each shift would be a guaranteed 5 hours.
- Shift times can be at various times throughout the day/night, both weekday and weekend.
- Drivers should expect to drive in the City of Philadelphia frequently, but also be able to drive throughout the Delaware Valley.
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Verifying loads for accuracy
Prerequisites:
- Clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations
- Pass a physical exam every two years
- In accordance with federal regulations which mandate that truck drivers have to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20/40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and the ability to distinguish the colors of traffic lights
