Tug Boat Mate Job at Carver Companies
Carver Companies is looking for Mates to join our Tug Crews in our Marine Towing division
Home port: Port of Coeymans in Selkirk NY
*Merchant Mariners Credential, TWIC card and Med Cert required for employment*
Duties:
- 2 week on, 2 week off rotation
- Reports directly to Captain
- Handles or oversees vessel navigation, vessel docking operations, ship assist operations, ship and barge towing operations, deck crew operations and command of the vessel where directed by the Master
- May have supervisory duties when the Captain is concerned with other matters
USCG qualifications may include:
- 100 Ton Mate, 200 Ton Mate, 500 Ton Mate, 1600 Ton Mate
- May require endorsements including towing endorsements, ocean endorsements, GMDSS and STCW 95
