Schedule: Per Diem

Shift: Days. Coverage for staff time off and on-call needs at the hospital M-F - no weekends

  • Orange City is conveniently located between Orlando and Daytona Beach and offers easy access to the beach and many State parks where nature lovers can enjoy swimming, hiking, kayaking, and watching wildlife.

  • You’re only about a half hour drive to Orlando where you can attend live concerts, Broadway plays, major sporting events, and world-class theme parks.

The role you’ll contribute:

Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Maintains records of examinations performed. Obtains and documents patient clinical information as needed. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Assists in radiology department as needed. Responsibility to adhere to the Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Performs various ultrasound imaging procedures as well as Doppler studies.
  • Notes velocities, measures structures, and documents adequate clinical history as needed for accurate interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Coordinates equipment service, preventative maintenance and sterilizes transducers as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of ultrasound physics as well as cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and Doppler techniques in order to perform independent procedures to radiologist standards.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Associates degree
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Breast imaging experience desirable
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred within 1 year of employment
