JOB SUMMARY

Employees will be trained to work in the following title : Dryer Feeder. Utility P4 is an entry level position and on-the-job training is provided

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dryer Feeder : keeping dryers full of veneer at maximum capacity, positioning veneer into the feeding station using automatic and manual transfers, removing objects from veneer prior to feeding, preventing and removing plug-ups

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to take direction, listen, learn and work well with others. Responsibilities are not limited to the above mentioned and may include assisting other branches within reasonable and related tasks as well as other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing continuously, reaching, lifting, pulling, twisting, turning, sorting and stacking, withstand constant repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers.
• Requires strength and endurance, job is very fast paced.
• Must be able to make quick decisions about quality grade of veneer and operating the machine safely and efficiently
• Job requires quick reflexes and the ability to tolerate great physical demands, sheets may weigh up to 40 pounds.
• Working in Wet/Cold/Hot and Inclement weather inside and outside
• Flexible schedule
• Shift work and weekends, working six days per week
