JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under direct supervision, assist in the collection and analysis of data for senior staff focused on real-estate-centric valuations for financial reporting (ASC 805 and 820), lease accounting analyses (ASC 842), providing audit support services, and the valuation of fractional interests for estate planning, gift tax reporting and estate tax filings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Collect, analyze, and report appraisal related market data through internal and outside sources.
• Responsible for understanding all company research related database programs.
• May inspect properties as part of the valuation process.
• Assist in the preparation of client deliverables under the direct supervision of senior staff.
• Understands all necessary software programs used to prepare valuation reports.
• Navigate tax returns, income statement and balance sheets.
• Will continue training on accounting and appraisal standards.
• Understands and utilizes necessary third-party data sources.
• Ability to research state laws/guidelines as directed by senior staff.
• Ability to develop financial models.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in real estate or other related subjects such as economics & finance) preference is given to MS or MBA in Real Estate.
• Proficient in Excel and practiced in Word
• Knowledge of Argus is a plus
• Preference given to prior professional experience in real estate analysis, market research or related field
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
