Primary Purpose(s):

The Vice President, Client Experience is responsible for business development, sales and oversight of the experience of Nebo clients. The VP will manage and grow a portfolio of client organizations, lead business development efforts and ensure excellence in the delivery of services. The VP will join a team dedicated to growing our impact and will contribute ideas and insights to engage both current and prospective clients.


The role is defined below:

  • Business Development: Leads business development efforts within existing core client relationships and handles new leads to expand own portfolio; activities include proposal writing, recommending new solutions for clients, scoping client work, leading business development conversations, and capturing activity in Salesforce.
  • Development of Client Relationships: Cultivates, manages and supports core client relationships, working in close partnership with the clients in the VP’s portfolio; represents Nebo in a range of external and client situations.
  • Engagement Oversight and Management: Oversees delivery team’s superb execution of work - from the staffing to delivery, completion, and evaluation of engagements.
  • Will contribute to the design and delivery of content and, as appropriate, may serve on coaching or facilitation engagements

Responsibilities:

  • Supports and develops client relationships as guided by the CEO and VP, Sales and Client Experience on key accounts, maintains existing and new relationships at all client organizations.
  • Identifies and leads opportunities for business development, conducting issue scoping for engagements that add value for all clients.
  • Evolves and improves Nebo client services delivery and relationship methods in concert with CEO, VPs, Business Development and Client Engagement Managers.
  • May perform highly focused research to help build out content of a project. Taps into Nebo frameworks and methods to design highly valuable offerings for clients.
  • Models and teaches “the Nebo “way” for documentation creation, client engagement and management excellence.
  • Works with the CEO and VP, Sales and Client Experience to grow Nebo’s business.
  • Develops service scope and writes proposals; serves as relationship lead and manager for a portfolio of client accounts (existing and new).
  • Develops Nebo Client Experience Team members, providing management, mentoring and feedback to ensure professional growth and consistently high-quality work
  • Oversees engagements within client portfolio; is responsible for developing teams such that all work goes smoothly using Nebo methodology.
  • May lead teamwork on engagements and develop high quality client deliverables, such as leadership program presentations, reports and summaries; Accountable for the quality and integrity of materials and program content conducted by engagement teams.
  • Leads engagement team efforts to brainstorm about client programs and issues.
  • May strategically serve on select client engagements as a consultant, facilitator and/or leadership coach.
  • As a senior leader, the VP may be asked to serve in other organizational roles such as mentor, ombuds, coach, etc.

Education/Training:

  • BA or BS required
  • MBA or relevant MA, MS, or similar experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google, Basecamp, and Salesforce are preferred
  • Evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Experience:

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about leadership development, including coaching, leadership development programs, change leadership, organizational culture, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • At least 6 years of engagement/project management experience, direct sales, and/or relationship management at a top professional services firm or entrepreneurial venture
  • Experience working directly with senior executives delivering and supporting high profile, deadline-driven engagements, or experience scoping and managing complex sales
  • Extensive experience managing processes and growing a strong team in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience managing and developing high performing teams
