Ocean Spray is looking for a Vice President, FP&A. This position is responsible for leading the global FP&A team and partnering with Ocean Spray’s senior commercial and operational leaders around the globe to drive topline growth and margin expansion. The company has a large portfolio of initiatives (e.g. innovation, new market entries, manufacturing efficiencies, strategic procurement efforts, etc.) and will require continue support, visibility, and continuous (re)evaluation of efforts and opportunities to better reallocate resources. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with whom the candidate should expect to collaborate very closely.
Position Location: The position would preferably be in either Boston or Lakeville, MA, but for the right candidate additional flexibility is possible. Relocation assistance is available, and Ocean Spray can be flexible with timing.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading a finance team that supports commercial business units (USA, International and Global Ingredients), Operations (incl. manufacturing, procurement, logistics) and corporate
  • Enhancing and developing tools to support better decision making across the company
  • Analyzing profitability and trends of the company to identify and action margin enhancement opportunities (pricing, mix management, design to value, etc.)
  • Owning monthly business review and forecasting routines – includes identifying key risks & opportunities and developing relevant action plans with the leadership team
  • Further developing the FP&A team, driving high levels of engagement, and ensuring team is continuously learning
  • Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to drive the annual budget and subsequently ensuring expected results are delivered
  • Establishing and implementing a strong financial framework for both commercial (e.g. innovation, market entries, etc) operational initiatives
  • Lead management reporting for the entire organization
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience (incl. at least 5 as Director or above)
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks
  • Proven (and compelling) track record of success in prior roles (a must, please do not apply without it)
  • Highly analytical (a must) and superior problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. High levels of intellectual curiosity (preferred)
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Strong results orientation
  • Holds self and others accountable; drives for results even under difficult circumstances
  • Demonstrates courage by stepping up to address difficult issues and saying what needs to be said
