Job duties:
The VPBH supervises the BH Department and directs its services throughout the organization. In addition, this position must be a licensed psychologist and provide professional behavioral healthcare to VPCHC patients in line with its mission. Job Duties are as follows:
- Oversee the BH Department and work with the VPCHC Executive team to develop long-range plans for the health center.
- Implement, maintain, and refine approved quality assurance/utilization management program as well as the policies and procedures of the BH Department.
- Provide patient care to VPCHC patients.
- Manage behavioral health services and promote the integration of mental health services into patient care by working with the CMO and VP of Psychiatry to facilitate an integration model of care.
- Identify trends in patient needs and set goals for serving the mental health needs for our service area.
- Provide continuous administrative supervision of behavioral health staff.
- Collaborating with all PCMH team members to provide quality care, while also complying with all federal and state laws, all HIPAA rules; including but not limited to, the Privacy Rule, the Security Rule, and the Breach Notification and Enforcement Rules, as well as all VPCHC policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Performing other duties, which may be assigned by the Board of Directors or CEO
Requirements:
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Must be Board Certified
Current license from the State of Indiana to provide behavioral health services
Considerable professional experience in behavioral health services
Grant writing and program facilitation experience preferred
