The Vice President of Digital Channels partners with senior management, internal resources, and vendors to develop Langley’s digital channel strategies. This role is focused on delivering valuable functionality for all digital channel initiatives, including online and mobile banking, online account opening, payments, digital wallets, digital assistants, and wearables. Leads team through project development initiatives from implementation to post-implementation review. Leads team through coaching and mentoring, assessing performance and professional development, providing feedback and support to product managers, developers, and business analysts. Drives innovation for Langley within the digital channels.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic oversight and input to include:
    • Innovation & Technology (systems, services, information security, automation)
    • Market (Member Needs, Competition, Trends, Innovations)
    • Economic Environment (Trends, Forecast, Impact)
    • Legislative/Regulatory Environment (Pending Issues, Implications, Impact)
    • Culture Development (The Langley Experience-Progress, Issues, Actions)
    • Strategic Growth Goals (as identified in annual Success Sharing goals)
    • Financial Performance (Budget, Projections)
  • Champions and transforms the digital channel experience for members.
  • Charts a multi-year strategy to enable strategic growth initiatives aimed at differentiating Langley and growing digital channel adoption.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to conduct needs assessments, develop user requirements, and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Leads member-facing software implementations, upgrades, and conversions for Langley’s digital channels.
  • Ensures effective development of business requirements, pre-launch testing, and post-implementation reviews of digital initiatives.
  • Works with Risk Management and InfoSec to monitor and safeguard digital channels from malicious cyber activity.
  • Partners with Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance to prepare for and achieve regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Manages vendors through the evaluation, selection, negotiation, implementation, and contract renewal lifecycle.
  • Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and career potential, including directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with the credit union Vision and Values.
  • Manages the relevant departmental budget items.
  • Utilizes data from various sources to make informed business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Ten years of relevant experience in Digital Channel strategy, user experience and research/development required.
