Position Title: Vice President Sector Pathways

FSLA: Full time, Exempt

Annual Starting Salary: $120,000-130,00 Plus high value benefit package (including 13.2% employer contribution retirement plan, 100% vesting begins day 1)

Position Description:

The VP of Sector Pathways will report to the President and CEO. The key responsibilities of the VP of Sector Pathways are outlined below:

Develop, Implement and Evaluate

  • Provides leadership and management of Sector based programs including the development and execution of strategies and oversight of all funding streams. Develops and execute plans, policies and programs that support sector-based programming as articulated in the strategic plan.
  • Liaison for Workforce Skills Cabinet, working to implement and execute innovative programming and strategies in CommCorp ecosystem.
  • Works closely with CFO/ Finance and Program team in oversight of fiduciary responsibilities and contract management for these programs.
  • Manage the administration of internal policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Develop strategies related to streamlining organization operations, and operational efficiencies, revises workflows and strategies as needed to improve performance, assure quality, and attain staff and client satisfaction.

Grant Management and Technical Assistance

  • Oversees and manages procurement activities, including soliciting and reviewing proposals from prospective grantees.
  • Negotiates budgets and scopes of service with grantees; conducts grantee orientation activities to ensure effective start-up and implementation.
  • Conducts on-going performance reviews and develops strategies to assist grantees with any challenges they may encounter. Provides guidance to grantees about program design improvements, requests to modify contracts and general grantee policies and practices; identifies and coordinates the deployment of resources to meet technical assistance needs.

Effective Leadership, Partnerships and Other Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of effective statewide policy and programming for sectoral workforce development.
  • Develop relationships, understanding of procedures and serve as liaison with EOLWD.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with partners, practitioners, and policymakers.
  • Foster a healthy, and positive work environment. Sustains and deepens the teams commitment to cultural competency, provides leadership to ensure Commonwealth Corporation is an open and diverse enterprise.
  • Establish strategic direction and operational management of day-to-day functions for youth and social justice programs.
  • Optimizes organizational structure to serve partners and achieve strategic goals and objectives most effectively. Conducts on-going performance reviews and develops strategies to assist grantees with any challenges they may encounter. Provides coaching and developmental feedback for all direct reports.
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years experience in asset-based young adult employment, education, and development initiatives, with at least five of them in a senior management role. Recognition as a leader within the field of youth employment, education, and development at the state and national levels. Minimum of a bachelors degree if candidate has substantial management and programmatic experience.
