Video Editing and Social Media Associate

APEK Holdings, a Coldwater-based, family-owned business, manages subsidiary companies that represent diverse business ventures in powersports, marine, aviation, and restaurant industries with operations based in Michigan, Florida, and Alaska.

We are looking for an experienced and capable video editing associate to help coordinate and produce social media content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites. Our primary channels are Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Ability to bring creative ideas to fruition while operating inside company guidelines to achieve business goals is essential. Working with our National Marketing Manager, this role will support multiple business units in the powersports, marine, aviation, and restaurant industries. You must be excited to work with content for motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Sides, boats and personal watercraft, food and drinks, and the professionals who work with them. You must be able to work well independently and as a team. The majority of work will be in the immediate Coldwater area with some work in Lansing Michigan.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary: Receive and edit photo and video assets from front line employees to produce and schedule customer engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media channels.
  • Secondary: Assist in the photography and video creation on-site at our businesses by taking photos and videos of employees and inventory, editing, and posting/scheduling content.
  • When working independently, timely production of expected assets, strong and consistent communication with stakeholders and management, and the efficient use of time management and resources is expected and non-negotiable.
  • Roles and responsibilities will grow and change based on business needs and new marketing tools as they come to market.

Requirements:

  • Previous professional experience is preferred but not necessary. Be prepared to show examples of your work in all cases.
  • Strong mobile Photography and Videography skills needed. DSLR camera and other tool(s) expertise additive.
  • Successful candidates are well versed in photo and video editing for use online in multiple formats and on various social media channels.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Instagram and Facebook posting and scheduling tools.
  • Experience with YouTube posting methods and best practices.
  • Familiar with cloud storage and sharing platforms like Google Drive and DropBox.
  • Reliable transportation required to business sites at various locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
