Mission:
Responsible for validating tech package and robot interface + software version management for all vision products related to IAS solutions

Main tasks and objectives

• Supports the Local BDM and Product and Integration Engineer in customer activities (demonstrations, validations, on-site visits)
• Works with robotics companies, OEMs, and line builders to understand the standards required and works to validate and meet these standards in communication, software, and data handling
• Works with the Division to validate our internal standards created for communication by them
• Developing communication and application documentation and checklists
• Training the Sales team and developing competency in system set-up and integration
• Supporting internal and external development with expert-level topics
• Supporting IC Team with vision deployments and robot programs
• Creates standards for internal robot programs for vision (plug and play)
• Innovations around robot sensor technology, removal control, component supply and removal, position control and monitoring, quality assurance of joining and sealing processes
• Creating interface, communication, integration, and commissioning standards and templates for all IVS solutions (applications and products)
• Important individual tasks
• Maintaining and communicating all product, application, and integration standards for the local market
• Understanding all joining technologies and keeping up-to-date with new developments and launches within IAS for SPR, FDF, and ADH + working on new application development for IVS
• Participation in customer engagements for defining new products and applications and creating new solutions
• Active cooperation with the local IC, PC, and global engineering teams
• Active cooperation within our global organization, mainly with the Business Managers in Customer Centers, as well as Development and Marketing
• Regular reporting

Requirements - Training/Special Knowledge

• Technical background, preferably engineering degree
• Strong understanding and experience in machine vision
• Robotics and PLC background, certification, experience
• Automotive industry knowledge and experience
• Experience in automation systems and knowledge of the global IAS product portfolio an advantage
• Experience in dealing with customers
• Willingness to travel approx. 35%
• Entrepreneurial and networked thinking
• Assertive and structured way of working
• Strong communication skills and high customer and service orientation
• Fluent in English, German a bonus
