This is a full-time, limited duration position fully devoted to support the administration and coordination of the Circuit Court of Cook County Rehabilitation Alternative Probation/Women’s Rehabilitation Alternative Probation Drug Court (W)RAP Drug Courts Program funded by a three-year Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant. The Office of the Chief Judge is the lead agency and is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide overall coordination and administrative support to the (W)RAP Drug Court.

OVERVIEW

The (W)RAP Court Project Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the judge and team members of the (W)RAP Drug Court Program. The (W)RAP court project coordinator’s responsibilities include troubleshooting and monitoring court operations and achievement of project’s goals and objectives, assisting the director of problem-solving courts with management of daily operations, assisting the team with data collection for the project, grant management, quarterly programmatic and financial reporting, and coordination of interagency and community partnerships to expand Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the (W)RAP Court Project Coordinator include the following:
▪ Work with the Judge and the team on daily drug court operations;
▪ Work with Grant Project Director and Grant Project Performance Manager to implement grant program activities and coordinate the collection of program data for grant reporting requirements;
▪ Coordination and management of interagency and community partnerships, including treatment providers and clinical case management providers;
▪ Coordination and assistance in the development of the Drug Court Alumni group;
▪ Attend scheduled (W)RAP Drug Court staffings and status calls;
▪ Maintain an accurate database of program participants from referral to termination;
▪ Conduct one-on-one survey interviews with program participants at intake, 6-months, and discharge from the program.
▪ Work with the Director of Problem Solving Courts in the coordination of ongoing education and training for PSC team members to ensure compliance PSC standards;
▪ Meet productivity standards as established by the Director of Problem-Solving Courts

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field required, preference to Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Social Work. Preference given to applicants who are currently working towards or have a Master's Degree relating to Criminal Justice or Social Work.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the human services field required; preference to experience working with adults in criminal justice system, court operations, and/or project management.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
▪ Experience with grant management, i.e. writing, financial monitoring reporting, compiling statistics preferred
▪ Knowledge of criminal justice system, court processes and legal terminology preferred
▪ Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, online collaborative tools, and overall computer skills/technical aptitude
▪ Strong organizational and time management skills, detail orientated and extremely organized, innovative and good at problem solving
▪ Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
▪ Must be able to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with a diverse audience
▪ Must be able to handle pressure, work under stressful conditions and respond to crisis situations
▪ Ability to work independently as well as in a team to complete project tasks
▪ Must comply with Court Rules of Conduct
▪ Must maintain confidentiality
▪ Knowledge of the Ten Key Components of Drug Court
