Position Title: Walk Laborer
Department / Work Location: Operations
Reports To: Walk Manager
Status: Casual Nonexempt
Position Purpose: The Walk Laborer’s responsibility is to perform tasks that involve manual labor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shovel designated areas.
- Load and unload bags of salt.
- Knowledge of proper use of shovel, ATV or any assigned TSP equipment
- Proper application method of chemical application.
- Clocks in/out using provided time keeping app at start and end of shift.
- Follows correct and timely post-accident reporting and testing procedures
- Other Job duties as assigned
Education, Requirements and/or Professional Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Skills/Qualifications:
- On-Call daily availability from October 15th to April 15th.
- Must have a smart phone that can download timekeeping application.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull for long period of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds plus.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The ability to work and shovel under strenuous, inclement outdoor weather for extended periods of time.
