Warehouse Associate-Forklift Operator (16.50-18.50/hour doe) Job at Red River Commodities
Red River Commodities, a processor of sunflower seed for the snack and bakery industries, is seeking Warehouse Associates for our Colby, KS plant.
Job Summary
Supports the shipping, receiving, and stocking of warehouse goods in a fast-paced environment. This position is 70% forklift driving to load and unload semi-trailers and 30% order picking/staging.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares orders by staging supplies needed for upcoming jobs; placing orders in shipping/staging area.
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock, locating orders and printing requests
- Load and unload semi trailers using forklift
- Maintains quality service by following corporate standards
- Completes reports and enters required information correctly
- Learns and uses GMP, SQF and attends training as required
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, keeping shelving and work area clean
- Contributes to team effort and aids in accomplishing company or department goals
Qualifications & Required Skills
- 2-5 years of warehouse experience, including loading/unloading trucks, required
- Knowledge of proper weight distribution
- Able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Forklift Certification - preferred but not required, minimum of 1 year of forklift experience
- RF scanner experience, preferred
- Experience order picking and creating mixed pallets
- Inventory Control
- Flexibility with hours, able to work overtime as needed
Hours:Monday thru Friday 7am to 5pm, over-time available based on production demands.Starting Wage:
$16.50-18.50/depending on experience, this is a Full-Time position eligible for benefits, paid holidays and PTO.
