1st shift hours

This position manually moves, stacks, unstacks, and otherwise manipulate packages to prepare them for transport or storage within the warehouse. This position operates warehouse equipment to effectively move product into, out of and around a distribution center. In addition, this position effectively processes relevant written and verbal communication to ensure that all tasks are completed effectively and always executes the goals and objectives set by the Operations Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure a working environment conducive to team-work and individual motivation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizes and coordinates inventory and continuously verifies the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders
• Examines and verifies product information by recording specific data to the warehouse location
• Completes pick ticket and other documentation then forwards to assigned point of contact
• Pack customer orders for delivery to customers, in a safe manner that minimizes damage or errors
• Assures quality by examining products for wear or damage and reports any damage to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Pulls from product inventory to complete orders and may also create other documentation to validate product condition
• Operates a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the warehouse are well maintained, kept orderly and free of debris.
• Maintains quality standards set forth by warehouse management.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines; takes appropriate precautions to ensure property and materials are not damaged.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and expected standards of behavior.
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Location may vary between facilities

Education and Training

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge

• 6+ months experience in a warehouse or similar role
• Prior experience using RF scanning equipment required
• 6+ months experience with operation of pallet jack required
• 3+ months experience with operation of forklift preferred

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent safety record
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to handle multiple priorities which are constantly changing and deal with stressful situations
• Basic math skills
• Good organization skills
