Wastewater Operator I Job at City of Woodburn
The Wastewater Operator I performs entry level to journey level, semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the City's wastewater treatment plant, poplar tree facilities and reuse systems. The incumbents will operate and assist in maintaining the City pump stations, conveyance systems, water reuse and bio-solids handling equipment. The Wastewater Operator I position is responsible for performing sample collection and process testing, gathering and interpreting data, preventative maintenance, grounds landscaping, building maintenance, and facility housekeeping duties.
Schedule is subject to occasional weekend, holiday and on-call hours.

A High School degree or G.E.D. with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in related operation and maintenance of a Wastewater Treatment facility, or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards
- Valid Oregon class C driver's license
- Oregon DEQ Treatment Operator I certification
- Must pass the pre-employment background check
- Possess the following training/certifications or ability to obtain and maintain after employment: Forklift, first aid/CPR
