JOB TITLE: Web Developer

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

SUMMARY: The Web Developer will be responsible for developing, administrating, and improving the website for Phyllis Browning Company and its agents. You are responsible for maintaining/updating the public facing website, maintaining and building an internal administration website, maintaining developing a SQL server database, writing scripts for XML/JSON feeds. The individual will work closely with marketing management to determine website strategy, design, and functionality to satisfy company brand standards and the Phyllis Browning Company agents.

This role will REQUIRE a working knowledge of these programming languages: SQL, ASP, VBS, XML, PHP, JavaScript and IIS, RETS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain functional and easy-to-use websites
• Perform functional, usability, compatibility, and interface testing on websites
• Reduce page load times and ensure sites are performant
• Adhere to design best practices
• Debug pages and fix broken links or images
• Update, maintain and publish website content and review SEO
• Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g., traffic, conversions, updates)
• Respond to customer tickets in a professional and timely manner
• Proactively collaborates with business divisions, offices and agents to manage content, train users, resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work across technical systems and non-technical customers to provide excellent service in a highly responsive manner and manage various priorities
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree required, and 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL, ASP, VBS, XML, PHP, JavaScript and IIS, RETS a plus

COMPETENCIES:

• Front-end website design and development
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
• Proficient with modern content management systems and their administration
• Ability to collaborate across diverse groups of technical and non-technical customers
• Working knowledge of scripting languages and database management
• Capacity to communicate, present and clearly and concisely, both orally and written
• Exceptional customer service and soft skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
