We are looking for a talented Wellness Administrative Assistant (CNA certified) to join our Azpira Place of Lake Zurich team!

How you will help us on our mission and inspire others:

  • Encourage, coach and support life enrichment aides to inspire compassionate performance and reaffirm the positive difference their work makes in our residents’ lives.
  • Orient and train new life enrichment aides to understand the impact of their role and learn to create memorable experiences for our residents.
  • Spend time getting to know each resident and their family members to meet and exceed their needs and expectations.
  • Engage residents and fellow team members and connect with them in a genuine, compassionate and memorable way.
  • Prepare the daily assignment sheets.
  • Provide LEA coverage if there is a shortage. Attempt to replace all call-offs.
  • Act as a liaison to families and residents with regard to issues or problems that arise between residents and staff with a focus on resolving issues by creating positive, memorable experiences.
  • Monitor and track all LEA responsibilities; oversee and monitor monthly weights and vital signs.
  • Assure radios are functional and kept in good repair.
  • Assist nurses and Resident Care Manager/Wellness Manager with faxing and filing.
  • Assist nurses with chart gathering for physicians, podiatrists and other health professionals.
  • Set up charts for new residents.
  • Coordinate and complete resident reminder sheets for LEAs.
  • Monitor LEA communication books for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor shift reports for timeliness, professionalism and accuracy.
  • Thin and repair charts and prepare all closed charts.
  • Maintain monthly reports as requested.
  • Assist residents make reservations for transportation, physician visits or other outside appointments.
  • Keep assessment tickler up to date.
  • Order DME and wellness supplies as requested by Resident Care Manager/Wellness Manager.
  • Print monthly MAR, POS, and Care Sheets as needed.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in in-service, educational seminars, staff meetings, annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, bloodborne pathogens standard, advance directives, and other learning experiences.
  • Periodically complete QA audits and create QA tools to be used for audits.
  • Work in conjunction with the Resident Care Manager / Wellness Manager to maintain confidentiality of nursing office.
  • Resides as a permanent officer of the Safety and QA Committees.
  • Serve as liaison between Community Life and Wellness Departments.
  • Periodically assess each shift for performance and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as required.

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a C N A or Med Tech preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of various computer software programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written direction in the English language at a level adequate to perform the job duties.
  • Must maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with co-workers, managers and others with whom contact is made.
  • Must be supportive of and encourage ideas, listen to other people’s opinions and consider their perspectives.
  • Ability to timely and effectively follow up on all necessary and appropriate resident documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow up with residents and their families regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Ability to handle several tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes, requests and stressful situations.
  • Able to maintain regular attendance.
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
