Summary
To troubleshoot, test, calibrate, rework, modify and inspect Water Reclamation Facility instrument and control systems, under general supervision or continual direction in support of the production of water for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an Instrument and Control Apprenticeship or three years experience in the I&C maintenance field. EEI MASS test and I&C test administered. Exposure to industrial work environments, chemicals, and overtime, as required.
Nuclear requirement:
Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. This is a condition of employment at PVGS. Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVGS employees. Any PVGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
Major Accountabilities
1) Support activities of other WRF teams and external customers to ensure overall team success.
2) Responsible for troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, modification and testing of instrument and control systems in accordance with technical specifications and Palo Verde Standards & Expectations.
3) Actively works at becoming independently qualified to work on all plant & pipeline I&C equipment.
4) Attendance in and completion of scheduled technical training. Ability to utilize knowledge gained to meet Safety, Quality and Excellence expectations of WRF/PVNGS.
5) Maintain proficiency in the care and usage of a wide variety of Measuring and Test Equipment.
6) Documentation of work using, and in compliance with, WRF Work Control and WRF Conduct of Maintenance procedures.
7) Acquires skill in mainframe computer system usage for generation of work requests, update statusing of work orders, part searches, and archive history of equipment.
