Worldwide Product Advocate Job Description
Reporting to the WW Current Product Manager, the WW Product Advocate is responsible for current & future product support for the Kodak Alaris hardware & software portfolios. To effectively execute this role, the WW Product Advocate must interface with a variety of Kodak Alaris teams across the world to provide technical expertise to support sales opportunities globally. The WW Product Advocate works with Sales, Marketing, and our Global Development teams to drive our customer success.

General Responsibilities:
  • Technical subject matter expert for Kodak Alaris’s current product portfolio, including hardware, solutions, and services
  • Collaborate with the Kodak Alaris development team to create best in class solutions for our customers across the world through refining & validating requirements for new releases of existing product as well as new offerings.
  • Partner with the Global Professional Services team to ensure customer support for all software related products
  • Provide demo support to the sales regions as required
  • Create & deliver technical product training to sales regions and the service organization on new and existing offerings as required
  • Translate customer use cases into well-defined technical requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering in order to support large sales opportunities that require custom development work
  • Responsible for creation of customer facing technical release notes
  • Interact with customers to assist with demonstrations, understand technical requirements, and be able to make solution recommendations as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Technical Product Support role
  • BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Familiarity and demonstrated success in defining technical requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to do a rough order cost/benefit analysis
  • Excellent teamwork/collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to work with a broad range of global teams in marketing, sales, service and engineering.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training content
  • Ability to create Test Requirements for the Quality Assurance group and be able to provide instructions on how to best re-create a customer scenario
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Customer Service and Support
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with hardware and software configuration for Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating System and Linux Distributions
  • Technology difference with USB interface versions
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless networking
  • Experience with Thin Client devices as used with virtual machines or virtual desktops
  • Desired experience with container software being executed in cloud hosted (Azure or AWS) and Docker on Windows Server Operating Systems
