X-Ray Technician Job at Care Eleven Health
The X-ray technicians are primarily responsible for performing all diagnostic x-rays and assisting with the provision of patient medical care. Our x-ray techs report to the Office Manager for non-clinical matters, the Charge Nurse for clinical matters as well as the provider on duty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing diagnostic x-rays;
- Performing point of care diagnostic tests;
- Assisting physicians with patient care, as requested;
- Assisting Medical Assistants with the triaging of new patients;
- Directing patients to examination rooms and ensuring rooms are setup;
- Ensuring that x-ray room and examination rooms are clean;
- Re-stocking medical supplies; and
- Front-office duties including answering phones and registering patients.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed in the state of Louisiana required.
- BLS certification required
- 2 years experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
- Ability to effectively organize resources, establish priorities and perform multiple tasks.
- Professionalism and ability to be discreet with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Fundamental understanding of digital x-ray services.
