We are looking for crew members for a private yacht charter in Manhattan. You must be responsible, reliable, outgoing, hardworking, and enjoy meeting new people. Making guest feel welcome and comfortable while adhering to safety protocols will be a big part of what you do. You will be responsible for making sure the boat is kept clean and tidy, stocked and safe while paying attention to detail. The iconic skyline and harbor views are an amazing way to for our guests to spend time. You will be a big part of their experience so personality counts. You must like people, be friendly with children and able to carry a conversation. You must have a take charge personality while being respectful and aware of situations and guest needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Greet guests, help them board and deboard and help orient them to the vessel
• Manage the interior of the vessel from cleanliness to organization
• Assist Captain with docking and anchoring the vessel
• Maintain vessels interior and exterior before, during, and after charter
• Create a friendly, inviting environment for passengers. Taking photos, being attentive to their needs and paying attention to little details are important
• Ensure all guests are adhering to yacht safety guidelines
• Always appropriately groomed, dressed in a clean uniform/attire and hygiene conscious.
• Neat appearance and personal hygiene is very important

Requirements

• Must be comfortable being on the water- Must have experience professionally or recreationally
• Bartending/Host/Hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
• Must be within a short commuting distance from Chelsea Piers Marina
• CPR and First Aid credentials a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Social Media Savvy
• Flexible schedule is required - Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays.
• Must be able to pass drug test. You will be required to be a part of a drug consortium in compliance with USCG regulations.

Season will run till April 1-November 30. Part-time and full-time hours available for the right candidate. $15-$20 hr plus tips averages $60-$80 an hour. Most pay is cash so you will be required to track your own earnings. This is a coveted job and we are only hiring the right candidates. Training is provided but you MUST have experience being on boats- even recreationally.
