Classification: Non-Exempt Part-Time Position

Overall Responsibilities of the Clerk:

• Provides exceptional customer service by operating a cash register and assisting customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Meets or exceeds Member service expectations.
• While most frequently this position works alone, the employee must also be able to work well with other team members and coordinate effectively.
• Adheres to Hart Ranch Camping Resort Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Clerk will:

• Operate the POS and other sales equipment within company guidelines.
• Assure that fast, efficient check-out occurs.
• Collect money, checks, and electronic payments from the customer and make correct change.
• Maintain the security of the cash drawer at all time.
• Participate in counting store physical inventory.
• Assist with the selection of product when requested or when customer need is apparent.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly helpful manner.
• Maintain product pricing and signage.
• Assist in unloading product, checking orders, and stocking shelves and coolers. At times this will require storing or retrieving product from a basement storage area.
• Front and face shelves, racks, coolers and freezers.
• Perform store cleaning regularly to ensure store exceeds all cleanliness standards.
• Understand state and local laws regarding liquor and cigarette sales.
• Perform opening and closing tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and have completed a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a motivated self-starter with ability to work alone during most shifts. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds routinely, and lift and carry up to 60 pounds periodically, including retrieval from a basement storage area. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events, including but not limited to evening rodeos, as needed.
