ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

As a member of our team in the Accounts Payable role, you can expect to:

• Process all vendor invoices
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are accounted for and appropriately posted
• Generate vendor payments as appropriate from invoices, including manual checks and automatic payments
• Monitor the accounts payable aging report to ensure unpaid invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Process employee expense reimbursement requests
• Facilitate weekly check runs and mailing
• Set up new vendors and maintain vendor files
• Obtain and maintain W-9's and COI's
• Process and distribute 1099's
• Manage document storage and retention for files
• Enter and review corporate credit card statements
• Provide backup to other positions on the team
• Potential to learn other roles on the team as we manage our fast paced growth

Knowledge and Skills Requirements for this role:

• Two or four year degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Three or more years accounting experience
• Experience with AP and expense reporting
• Experience with Sales/Use tax
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to details and problem solving skills
• Confident and accountable
• Self-starter

Hours/Pay:

• Full-time M-F 8 am - 5 pm (more during tax season)
• $40,000 - $50,000 annual
