About the Role
As Accounts Receivable Associate you will assist with clerical functions and maintaining accounts receivable. Assist Business Office Director with general office duties.

What You'll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

    • Process Medicare/Medicare Advantage billing.
    • Participate in Triple Meetings.
    • Prepare Private Pay statements.
    • Provide appropriate customer service as requested in accordance with Ventana hospitality standards. Answer phones, take messages and promptly respond to requests for information, and timely distribute messages.
    • Review all accounts receivable for accuracy.
    • Preparing accounts receivable aging list.
    • Maintain accurate files for accounts receivable invoices using established record retention system.
    • Accurately prepare and proofread letters, memos, spreadsheets and other correspondence as required.
    • Accurately processes outgoing mail and accurately sorts incoming mail daily.
    • Accurately file documents into appropriate record retention system.
    • Receive and post incoming accounts receivable and other monies accurately.
    • Accurately enter charges into billing software.
    • Assist in collection of past due accounts.
    • Filing and collection of co-insurance.
    • Accurately maintain financial files for accounts receivable department.
    • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
    • Complete and file Long Term Care claims for residents as requested.
    • Provides assistance and clerical support to business office director.
    • Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
    • Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.
    • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training as required.
    • Perform general office tasks as required.
    • Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
    • Assist in voucher preparation and posting for accounts payable.
    • Accurately enters charges and deposits into Trust Fund Account.

    What You'll Bring to the Team
    To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

    • Requires understanding and ability to use simple arithmetic and grammar with accuracy. High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required. Minimum 3 years prior related experience performing administrative support tasks preferred.
    • Requires basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
    • Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
    • Requires ability to speak clearly and make self understood effectively in fact to face interactions; articulate with accuracy to speak on the phone.
    • Requires ability to hear and receive verbal instructions, answer phones, communicate with people in situations with some background noise.
    • Requires ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions.
    • Requires ability to work under moderate supervision and exercise excellent professional judgment.
    • Requires ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Requires fine attention to detail and ability to maintain a routine; organizational skills required.
    • Requires ability to work with frequent interruptions; ability to maintain flexibility as priorities change.
    • Requires ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, co-workers, and employees from other facilities. Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing are required.
    • Must exhibit and maintain professional work habits, punctuality, grooming, dress, manner, language and positive attitude and demeanor in interactions with residents, families, co-workers, and the community-at-large.
    • Proficient working knowledge and ability to accurately and timely operate and perform computer related tasks with specific equipment and software applications required; ability to use other office machinery including telephone, copy machine, fax machine, postage machine, and adding machine.
    • Requires commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.
    • Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
    • Work deals mostly with areas such as preparing and reading data and figures, correspondence, visual inspection involving small details. Visual work is primarily close to the observer. Depth perception and field of vision are not as critical as the ability to distinguish small details and markings very near the observer.
    • Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
    • Requires sufficient good health to properly discharge duties. Employees shall not be permitted to work who have infectious disease or skin lesion for the duration of the communicability.
