Overview:
Imperial Dade is currently searching for a highly motivated Collections Manager to join our Accounts Receivable team in North Bergen, NJ! This position will support Imperial Dade’s effort of ensuring timely collection of the company’s revenue. Reporting to the Director of AR, you will be responsible for the management, training, and development of a team of Collections Specialists and supervisors. The Collections Manager is responsible for maximizing cash flow and reducing the company’s delinquent DSO, while providing the highest level of client service to our customers. The Collections Manager will also be the primary resource for managing all acquisitions and S2K transitions / integrations.

Responsibilities:
You will:
  • Manage the collection efforts of the North Bergen team to ensure that collection goals are exceeded, including promoting prompt payment of outstanding invoices and other matters that will maximize cash flow.
  • Manage the Customer ‘phone loop’, ensuring staff is appropriately answering all incoming calls in accordance with SLA expectations
  • Assist the AR Director and Project Director with any Collections-based project needs
  • Regularly monitor, prioritize, and adjust workload balancing of the Collections Team to maximize the enterprise-wide Collections effort
  • Work with supervisory staff and AR Director to build processes and procedures
  • Manage the AR transition responsibilities of all S2K branch integrations, serving as the AR representative of the Imperial Dade SWAT integration committee
  • Be responsible for the dissemination of new process training to senior level staff, ensuring the expectations and training are then transferred accordingly (‘train the trainers’)
  • Ensure KPI targets are being met, monitoring the team’s productivity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Manage the coordination of the supervisor / staff monthly Sales Manager calls, including ensuring the staff is reporting out Collections progress on accounts with large overdue balances
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Collections technology integrations
  • Suggest and manage special projects, including identifying cost benefit, reporting progress on a project level, and formally identifying risks and mitigation efforts to the project
  • Gather, review, and distribute month-end reports to Senior Management, including KPI and SLA tracking
  • Provide a climate of motivation, communication, support and trust within department and with cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
You have:
  • High School Diploma required at a minimum, some college preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Collections
  • 2+ years experience in supervising and/or managing Collections staff
  • Proven ability to effectively train and coach staff
  • Proven reputation for providing expert insights into the Collections process.
  • Experience in ERP integrations
  • Proven excellence in communication (both written and verbal), with an ability to provide clear documentation in order to reconcile an account.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Very detail-oriented
  • MS Office Suite, including Excel (PowerBI experience is a plus!)
  • Proven ability to shift priorities and multitask when required
  • Ability to work on and reach targets independently
  • Comfortable working with targets, deadlines, and competitive goals
  • Proven experience in a high-volume environment
