This position will have temporary remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need. This position will be expected to report to the business address listed 2 days per week.

Description of Job

The salary range for this job posting is -
$25.71 - $31.98 Hourly
$2,057.08 - $2,558.31 Biweekly
$4,457.00 - $5,543.00 Monthly
$53,484.00 - $66,516.00 Annually


This position is on the Employee Relation team. It primarily manages the CDLE American With Disabilities Act (ADA) Program by ensuring agency compliance with relevant laws, policies and rules and ensures that communication and recordkeeping is accurate and timely. As the Department’s subject matter expert in Title I of the ADA, this position provides CDLE managers with strategic consultation on employee accommodations. In so doing, this position informs employees of their rights under the State Personnel Board Rules and Director’s Administrative Procedures and compliance organizations while recommending resolutions to leadership that focus on minimizing legal risk and meeting the business needs of the organization. It coordinates with Employee Relations Benefits and Leave Specialists to ensure all requirements are met when considering unpaid leave as an accommodation. This position also conducts workplace investigations and authors agency position statements to federal and state compliance agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Substitutions:
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.

AND


Two years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include: Americans with Disabilities Act law and requirements, workplace investigations processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Researching/Analyzing data and preparing reports.
  • Internal investigations experience.
  • Previous experience performing alike duties a State of Colorado classified employee.

Conditions of Employment:
