Unique Part-time Opportunity - after hours administrative assistant

Faith Hospice Intake Department

Part-time administrative position: work from home (once oriented) for after hours on-call coverage.

Work every 3rd week: Monday - Friday, 5:00pm - 8:00am plus Saturday 8:00am through Monday 8:00am as well as every 3rd Friday in the office 9:00am - 5:00pm. This is a job share position with 2 other Administrative Assistants.

Our ideal candidate will also be available to work in the office or cover on-call to fill in for vacations or sick days.

Duties include:

  • data entry, checking insurances
  • carrying/answering a cell phone
  • communicating with hospitals and other referral sources

Compensation : when on-call, receive an hourly stipend; actual administrative hourly rate starts when answering a call or working on a referral. A time log is kept to track the hours worked for the week of on-call coverage.

Qualified candidates are detail oriented, have strong computer skills and excellent problem-solving and customer services skills. Prior office experience, medical terminology, data entry skills, and medical office/insurance verification experience have all proven to add to success in this position.

During orientation, be prepared to work at least 3 days per week in the office.
