Headquartered in Memphis, TN, featuring 14 full-service agriculture and environmental laboratories throughout the U.S., Waypoint Analytical (WA) has established itself as a reliable, timely provider of both environmental and agricultural soil test data.

The Analyst Chemist (Wet Chem) will be responsible for performing analyses of client samples in the Wet Chem laboratory using a variety of analytical techniques and procedures. You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to prepare, test, and analyze different types of environmental compliance samples.

Responsibilities include:

· Collect, prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory environment

· Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures

· Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis

· Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with QA and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements

· Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame

· Perform analytical testing using multiple different wet chemistry techniques: titration, gravimetric and colorimetric, in addition to the potential use of analytical instrumentation

· Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required

· Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field

· Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred
