Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Senior Manager to lead and oversee a team of statistics focused data analysts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the team is working efficiently, effectively and producing high quality out-puts. This role requires a strong understanding of statistical concepts, data analysis methodologies, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop team managers and lead multiple teams to deliver best in class data analysis practices to enhance business management, executing on key initiatives, and processes across products and lines of business
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute primary and secondary market research projects or results oriented intelligence that support each of the different lines of business within a major Wells Fargo business division
  • Engage and influence most experienced leaders companywide to communicate and provide strategic consultation
  • Provide support for designing, testing, evaluating, implementing, measuring, monitoring, and data analysis practices and strategies across acquisitions, account management, and collections
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Analytics team to develop business or finance policies, approval or denial strategies, business line assignment methods, collections, and recovery strategies
  • Interpret and develop compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives for external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums
  • Collaborate with and influence lines of business, business partners, Operating Committee, Chief Marketing Officer, external agencies, regulatory bodies, industry forums managers, experienced consultants, and executive management on issues with high, critical impact on the success of the company
  • Lead a team of managers, consultants, or cross functional virtual teams in accomplishing goals
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Analytics
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with complex data in multiple lending/deposit systems/fields and products
  • Experience and knowledge of the auto line of business
  • Ability to respond to ad-hoc data requests from key external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify data root cause issues with the ability to create immediate solutions
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Experience with providing detailed, thorough, and accurate documentation procedures and repeatability standards
  • Ability enforcing accountability for high quality work among a large number of analysts
  • 6+ years of experience with SAS and/or SQL
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
  • Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending data and analytics
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization
  • Expertise in data profiling and research
  • In-depth knowledge of business systems (Shaw, AFS, FDR, EIW, BMG, Brickyard, HELMS, HOGAN) and data structures
  • Ability to support and balance multiple, divergent customer bases
  • Experience in an Agile/Rapid Prototyping development environment
  • Experience in historical data analysis, customer remediation, or regulatory reporting
  • Experience in identifying and remediating customers impacted by complex situations
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines
