Animal Care Technician Job at Sus Clinicals, Inc.

Sus Clinicals, Inc. Urbana, IL

Company Overview - Sus Clinicals provides a proprietary preclinical large animal model (the “Oncopig Cancer Model” or “OCM”) that is proven to better predict the outcome of cancer fighting drugs, devices, and therapeutics in human clinical tests than mouse (“murine”) models alone. The OCM allows the induction of pig (“porcine”) tumors that are indistinguishable from human tumors. The focus of Sus Clinicals is not to replace existing murine models, but to provide a significant process improvement relevant across all types of cancer therapeutics, delivering a dependable, highly predictive second animal model to meet FDA requirements to qualify for human clinicals. Services will be provided via collaboration with top-notch large animal research institutions. Initial work will be conducted at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign and Chicago campuses), with 16 other institutions already FDA cleared to conduct Oncopig work to support scaling over the next several years. In total, our mission is to accelerate breakthrough cancer solutions, helping to save lives. (Please visit www.susclinicals.com.) Sus Clinicals is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, with scientific and technical resources located in Chicago and Urbana, Illinois.
