Aquaculture Projects and National Extension Coordinator Job at Maryland Sea Grant

Maryland Sea Grant College Park, MD 20740

Maryland Sea Grant College (MDSG) is seeking an Aquaculture Projects Coordinator who will oversee the day-to-day management of the MDSG aquaculture portfolio. The main component of this role is leading MDSG’s NOAA Sea Grant-National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) funded National Aquaculture stakeholder engagement grant as its National Extension Coordinator. The position acts as a liaison between MDSG, the National Sea Grant Office, the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (Beaufort Lab in particular), grant Co-PIs, and relevant audiences nationwide. The coordinator is responsible for using a co-production model to develop a series of workshops about accessibility of aquaculture siting tools for different audiences across the country. Depending on expertise, the coordinator may also participate in other special projects associated with grant projects including aquaculture visioning and the USDA AFRI Sustainable Aquaculture Systems Supporting Atlantic Salmon projects. Overall, this position provides excellent opportunities for working on aquaculture issues at a national and international scale.
