To support the instructional, research, and public service functions of the University. This position focuses on organizing, processing, preserving, and facilitating the use of the William S. Cohen Papers. The work entails promoting awareness of and use of the collection through exhibits and programming, as well as assisting the Special Collections Department to provide public access to the collection. Typical hiring range for this two-year, fixed-length position is $55,510 - $58,144 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Masters Degree in Archival Science (MAS) or ALA-accredited MLS.
  • Training or experience in archival processing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience processing congressional papers or similar types of materials; preparing exhibits for a cultural institution; and planning events.
  • Knowledge of late-twentieth century American political history.
  • Familiarity with EAD and ArchivesSpace.
