Asbury Inn Laundry Staff Job at Asbury Theological Seminary
Position Summary:
Sort, wash, fold, and shelve laundry.
Hours: 10-20 per week (flexible schedule)
Essential Functions:
- Sort laundry for appropriate washing cycle.
- Select appropriate washing and drying cycles by laundry types.
- Clean linen traps for washers and dryers.
- Keep washers and dryers loaded and running at all times during shift.
- Monitor laundry chemicals and switch out containers as needed.
- Fold linen in a precise manner and place in proper location.
- Treat stained linen with appropriate chemicals.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum laundry facilities.
- Transport William House linen to and from Inn when necessary.
- Occasionally strip guestrooms of used linen to assist housekeepers.
- Communicate with housekeeping staff regarding linen needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess basic knowledge of custodial skills and procedures.
- Possess ability to prioritize job duties.
- Possess good organizational skills.
- Ability to perform light to heavy lifting on a daily basis.
- Must be able to work beyond scheduled shifts on an emergency basis.
