Summary:

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for both industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the worlds water scarcity challenges.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Assembler to work in our Canonsburg, PA office location. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.The Assembler will report to the Plant Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have a high sense of awareness in the workplace, regard safety as a high priority, have basic knowledge of tools and equipment, team oriented, and customer service driven. This candidate will also have experience in hands on manufacturing, preferably in an industrial setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) or more years experience working in a mechanical and industrial environment.

Job Description:

• Able to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)
• Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)
• Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit and finish)
• Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as:
  • Use of power tools drill press, band saw, cut-off saw, pipe threader, electric drill, etc.
  • Use of measuring tools tape measure, spirit level, plumb bob, etc.
  • Use of hand tools wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Must maintain positive attitude, communicate well with others and be an effective team member.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Takes appropriate measures to ensure safety in work place;
• attends monthly safety meeting as required;
• Notifies manager immediately (within 24 hours) of work place injury and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed;
• Reports potential safety hazards immediately to manager.

Skill Requirements:

• Must have mechanical aptitude in an industrial work environment
• Welding experience a plus
• Electrical experience a plus

Physical Job Demands:

Lifting / carrying / moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders and cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
