The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for an Assistant Cage Manager to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. In this role, you will assist in the supervision of all Cage Operations and ensure compliance by team members with all regulations and procedures during shift.


Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $43300 - $57400 / year

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all state gaming regulations and procedures are being followed.
  • Assist in the management of the main bank, cage cashiers, and drop and count operations.
  • Assist in the identification of and creation of cage-related operating policies and procedures.
  • Train current and new associates on current procedures and regulations and ensure compliance with corporate mandatory trainings.
  • Organize and maintain accurate department meetings as needed.
  • Stay current on trends within the gaming industry that could impact the facility and the cage operation.
  • Schedule all shifts for the cage associates, under the supervision of the Cage Manager.
  • Direct all cage staff, including cage cashiers, main bankers, and drop/count associates during shift.
  • Assist cage manager in hiring, counseling, and termination of cage staff.
  • Maintain a safe work and customer environment.
  • Treats each person, customer, or associate as an individual and in a professional manner.
  • Leads by example in the skills of guest service and positive interaction with associates, guests, and supervisors by mutual respect for all peoples' needs.
  • Demonstrates skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and maintain guest goodwill.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in cash handling required.
  • One to two years' supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, data input, and record keeping.
  • Basic Math skills, addition, and subtraction.
  • Able to handle large money transactions.
  • Weekends, holidays, and swing shift work may be required.
