SPI Rentals is a full service vacation rental management company located on South Padre Island. We are looking for an experienced housekeeper or housekeeping supervisor to join our growing team as Assistant Housekeeping Manager! As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, your main responsibility would be to assist the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager with the daily operations of the housekeeping department.

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Obtaining list of departures and arrivals, prioritizing properties that need to be cleaned first, and assigning team members their properties for the day.
  • Maintaining an accurate list of property statuses throughout the day and communicating with the front desk and other departments as required for daily operations.
  • Assisting the Housekeeping Manager with supervising all housekeepers, housekeeping drivers and housekeeping inspectors.
  • Assisting drivers with drop off and pick up of housekeeping teams or supplies/linen as needed.
  • Performing cleanings as needed.
  • Maintaining clear and efficient communication with the Housekeeping Manager, General Manager, and other departments and managers to ensure efficiency of the housekeeping department.
  • Assisting the Housekeeping Manager with inventory and ordering.
  • Assisting the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager with home owner communication (emails, phone calls, in-person visits) to address any questions, concerns or needs they may have.
  • Performing cleaning inspections, to ensure housekeepers have performed to company and home owner standards.
  • Assisting the Housekeeping Manager with the planning and organization of special cleanings.
  • Performing tasks in the laundry room (washing, folding, sorting, etc.) as needed.
  • Assists the Housekeeping Manager, General Manager and Guest Services Manager with guest questions, concerns/complaints, or needs they may have.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to our guests and homeowners!

Applicants MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish), have a good understanding of computers and phone applications, can communicate professionally over the phone, in emails and in person with guests and homeowners.

Applicants must be dependable and a self-starter! You will be working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, but will be responsible for identifying tasks that need to be done to ensure daily operations meet our standards.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
