Assistant Teacher Job at Black Belt Martial Arts Center
Description:
Are you fun, energetic and have a background working with kids? We are seeking a positive and responsible person with passion to instruct children to join our team. No martial arts or karate experience needed. All lessons will be taught by the instructors, we are looking for someone to encourage and have fun with our students during each class. This is a part-time position and hours are Monday-Friday from 3:30-7:00pm
Approx: 22-24 hrs/wk
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and directing customers and students in a friendly and welcoming manner before and after classes.
- Assist instructors with classes by helping students pay attention and perform taught drills.
- Motivate and encourage students throughout classes.
- Be a partner to new students to help them learn and feel comfortable with the drills.
- Monitor students during classes to help facilitate a safe training environment for all students.
- Meet with our instructor before classes to learn the lessons as part of paid hours.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, enjoy working with young kids and be able to connect with kids
- Patient, able to understand and work with young kids ages 3-14 yrs old
- Dependable and able to maintain hours
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- Good verbal communication skills, maintain communication with instructors and students
- Energetic and able to have fun
- No martial arts experience is required, we will pay you to learn and train you
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
