Assistant Toddler Teacher Job at Stepping Stones Learning Center
Position Details: As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Stands, Policies and Procedures. Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for preschool children and infants and toddlers. Measures children’s progress, ensures compliance with ODJFS, USDA and Health and Sanitation Regulations. Ensures the implementation of the agency designated curriculum. Must have Highschool diploma and CDA.

· Background check, federal sex offender check and physical medical clearance

· Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate and best practices for specific position assigned
· Demonstrated knowledge of child and family curriculum, Conscious Disipline principles, and Head Start practices
· Must be physically able to move quickly in and outside the classroom or facility (such as but not limited to: sit on the floor, and in child size chair, bend from knee and waist, stoop and squat to talk to children at their children at their eye level, climb stairs, physical outdoor play, field trips, walks, lift children (up to 50lbs)
Principal Functions of the Preschool/EHS Teacher position:
· Carry forth the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Stepping Stones Learning Center
· Responsible for ensuring the safety and active supervision of children during all parts of the daily routine
· Ensure adult/child ration is maintained at all times
· Plan, implement and evaluate a consistent daily routine
· Ensure curriculum is implemented in accordance with individual developmental levels of children
· Maintain confidentiality in all areas for both family and staff
· Support the center’s goal of Step Up to Quality at all sites including professional development
· Perform other duties as assigned to assist in providing quality services
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
