Description of the Role

We are looking for a talented Associate Product Photographer with a keen eye for style to join our quickly growing team of e-commerce experts in our product photography department. You will work independently as well as alongside our Sr. Photographer and team of creatives to flex your creative production muscles and produce eye-catching, modern and on-brand work for various brands and companies. This is a fun, fast-paced, exciting studio that is sure to offer new challenges and opportunities.

Our photography studio and office is located in Northeast Aurora. This is a full time, in-person position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Style unique and on-brand product sets.
  • Set up studio lighting
  • Use creative strategies to plan out upcoming shoots based on unique brand guidelines
  • Choose equipment, props, settings, and lighting to achieve desired results, manage and maintain the set.
  • Photograph products based off of a plan outlined by the Creative Strategist.
  • Edit and process images ready for upload including resizing, retouching, color correcting, straightening, clipping, and cropping
  • Organizing/saving files and sharing with team members.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant photography experience or education
  • Advanced knowledge of manual exposure
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent eye for trends and the ability to produce modern creative work
  • Ability to be self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Experience with strobe lighting
  • Experience with e-commerce photography

Bonus

  • Familiar with video production, Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Experience with Blender or other digital rendering programs.
  • Experience with graphic design and Adobe Illustrator
  • You have your own camera or lighting equipment

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience

You are also eligible for an end-of-year performance bonus up to 10% of your salary based on your performance and the companies’ performance.

You will receive a minimum of one compensation review per 12 months.

This is a salaried in person position at 40 hours per week.

You will be eligible for employer-provided health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days

Nectar provides a 401k plan with an employer match component after 60 days.

Nectar provides 15 days of prorated PTO in your first year after your 60th day of employment; 15 full days of PTO in your first full year; and 20 days of PTO in your second full year of employment.

Nectar is closed for 8 days per year, which includes 7 Federal holidays and Black Friday. We also offer 2 flex holidays that can be used for Presidents Day, Juneteenth, Good Friday, Patriot Day or Columbus Day.

Nectar provides each team member with a $200 annual office stipend after 60 days of employment

Nectar provides summer Fridays (sign off at 2:30 p.m. local time) between Memorial Day and Labor Day)
