Job Title: Autism (ASD) Support Specialist

About Us: We are a growing provider of educational and behavioral support systems for children with autism spectrum disorder in public school settings throughout the state of New Hampshire. We are seeking Full-time Autism (ASD) Support Specialists ($38,000-$41,000 per school year) to join our team. PLUS ADDITIONAL HOURLY pay ($25 per hour) for after school and summer work.

Job summary: The Autism Support Specialist works in partnerships with educators and related staff to provide academic and behavioral support in a public-school setting for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This year, our contracts began on August 22 and will end on June 16, a period of 43 weeks. During those 43 weeks, contracted employees are paid their full annual salary. We are currently looking for ASD specialists in the following geographic areas: Plymouth, Concord, Rochester and Laconia.

Benefits:

· Pay range $38, 000.00-$41,000.00 per school year, based on experience.

o *PLUS, HOURLY PAY AT $25 PER HOUR, ADDITIONAL INCOME DURING ESY AND SUMMER HOURS AT $25 PER HOUR*·

Training for employees to obtain their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or supervision for RBT’s and those working on obtaining their BCBA credentials

Responsibilities:

· 1:1 support; to provide prevention/intervention for students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

· Consistent implementation of behavior support plans, curriculum modifications and behavioral data collection

· Following the principals of applied behavior analysis (ABA)

· Effectively communicating with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

· Understanding and adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols

· Strong documentation skills and attention to details

Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Education, Psychology, or related field

· Preference given to registered behavior technician (RBT)

· Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavior Support (PBIS), crisis prevention/intervention, and de-escalation strategies

· Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

· Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
